More Bearded irises are beginning to bloom now, but we are a few days behind last year. I suppose the Easter cold spell slowed down the progress, which had been way ahead of schedule.

The weather is beautiful now, perfect for pulling weeds. I'm finding a zillion partridge pea sprouts to pull. I'm letting some of the wild coreopsis seedlings mature, even though I did not plant any of them.
