The garden is really coming to life at the beginning of March, but still the drought continues. I'm beginning to lay soaker hoses in my flower beds so when summer comes maybe I won't have to stand for hours with a hose just to keep the garden from dying out too badly. We put up a new martin house that is much easier to take down when we need to clean out sparrow and starling nests. Now we wait for the martins to return from their winter home in Brazil.
