Garden Journal...      Work and Worry in March 

What's a garden without birds? With no trees, it will take some doing. I dug a new flower bed in the corner of the backyard hoping to obscure the utilities eventually. Warren made a double compost bin for me. I'll try to hide it better later. I'm a little worried about my lilies. They spent a good part of last year in bags and pots  waiting for a new garden, then endured a soggy first season. I wish more of them were up.
