T emperatures around 100
all week and no rain have been hard on the garden. The lilies
are gone, except for a straggler or two. The Stella de Ora
daylilies, pictured last, are still trying, but they are
few. Only hot weather flowers can flourish in this kind of
heat. The Althea, a winter hardy variety of hibiscus in the
first picture, is doing well. So are the lantanas. The
orange variety pictured is a perennial.
