his spectacular lily greeted me upon my return from vacation. It is not a new one, but I did wonder
if it would bloom and be through by the time I got back without me ever seeing it. I
think it is one of the most beautiful in the whole
garden and I'm glad I didn't miss it this year.
T he flowers below are blossoms on the crepe myrtle, a sunloving southern shrub.
