Beautiful spring weather
followed by more record colds have been hard on the daffodils.
They were just beginning to open when it got down into the
single digit degrees. Somehow the blooms are tougher
than the stems that are supposed to support them.
Consequently, I have quite a few daffodils opening up
on the ground. It seems a shame to let them
bloom with their faces in the mud, so I brought some
of the daffodils in this morning where they can be
enjoyed even if they can't hold their heads up.
