Welcome to page thirty-six of a journey through the year 2002 in my garden.
Third Week of June

T
he yellow trumpet lily is not a new one, but it is spectacular. The wild coreopsis on the second row are volunteers, the variety that grows in the fields around here. Next to it is a Rose of Sharon, or Althea, a flowering shrub that is related to the hibiscus.

Below on the next row is the Red Velvet Asiatic, and another shot of the Lilium Regale -- both new lilies this year. The last row has another picture of the ditch lily and a purple cone flower.
