Welcome to page thirty-one of a journey through the year 2002 in my garden.
Second Week of June

T
he lilies are lovely now. Most of the Asiatics are blooming, but there are still plenty of daylilies that are yet to bloom.

The rudbeckia is pictured next. They are known commonly as black-eyed Susans and have just begun to bloom. Last year they didn't do well. They look healthy now, though, so I expect they will be fine again this season. Beside the rudbeckia is a picture of a little plum pink daylily. Two Asiatics are on the next row. A red orange and a lovely pink. The large picture is a mixture of lilies with the ditch lilies in the foreground.
