Last Night at our Cabin

Greenleaf Cabin The road through Greenleaf

The deer were not around when we returned. A couple with a dog had moved into one of the cabins across the road, and it was running loose. We didn't expect to see the deer again. Too bad. We had gotten some peanuts while we were in Gore earlier that day, hoping the deer might like them.

We heated up leftovers for supper and built a great campfire at dusk. We built a great fire in the fireplace too that last night at the cabin. We had collected a huge pile of dry branches and were surprised how fast it burned down into perfect coals. We toasted our last marshmallows and ate them with our last few squares of Hershey bars. We had gotten pretty skilled at building fires in our few days at the cabin. But it would be back to civilization the next day.

We would be staying our last two nights at a Bed and Breakfast in Coweta, Oklahoma. We choose the location because it had a room with two beds, was not too far and in the direction of home.        Next Page         Watch Movie
