We ended our Saturday at Austin's
largest park, the 1,147 acre Emma Long Park along the
shores of Lake Austin. They let us
drive in without paying the entrance fee of $5 per person when
we said we just wanted to look at the lake. If it had been earlier and we hadn't already worn ourselves out, we would have hiked the 1.97-mile Turkey Creek Nature Trail. As it was, we stayed just a little while, strolling along the bank before calling it a day. It was a lovely lake and a nice park. |
