"Pardon Me" (Apps 1982) 18" height. Midseason, reblooming. 2 3/4 in. flower. Bright red self with yellow green throat. Fragrant. Nocturnal. Dormant foliage. Petals beautifully crimped. Miniature flowers open in darkness, and remain open throughout the following day. One of the half-dozen longest-of-all bloomers. Donn Fischer Memorial Award (1985), and a very highly coveted Award of Merit (1987). In my garden this daylily has bloomed from mid June to mid August. Then it began blooming again in late August and continued on and off until a hard freeze in early November. What a grand daylily! |
