"Hemerocallis fulva" is a species daylily native to Europe -- 4 foot or taller. It was introduced into the United States in the late 19th century as an ornamental. It escaped into natural and disturbed areas throughout the United States. I have two distinct varieties of this species. The one that I designate as "late" began blooming in late July, when the early one is on the wane, and continues to bloom until frost. The early one can be found HERE. |
