The trail overlooking the War Eagle river turned out to be quite treacherous. The damp rocky path followed the edge of a steep cliff. The drop-off was less than a yard away. A fall would have been tragic, so we watched our steps and used our walking sticks. To turn back, we would have had to walk back over the same perilous trail.

We got some nice pictures, though.
