The pictures in these collection have been digitally enhanced, some little more than cropping and adjusting contrast, etc. Some are compilations of two or more photos. The pictures in the slide shows marked "artsy" have been manipulated even more.
As an artist, I view the photos I take, not as finished records of a place or event, but as the raw material that I use to create an approximation of the scene -- as I experienced it. The finished work that I do, with the help of Photoshop, usually is a better representation of what I saw and felt than the raw snap shots that came out of the camera.
